Naff el-cheapo bras from clothing marts: no wires or adjustable straps. I felt a bit uncool wearing them out in public but they were so comfy hanging at home. So many colours! Six in a pack! The only thing a bit unnecessary was the padding inside, but there was a little gap in the bra design where you could remove them. I didn’t really want to throw those pads out. They were curvaceously and uselessly pretty, encased in the same coloured materials as the bras themselves. I kept all of them in a bag …just in case I needed them.

It wasn’t until I finally had the intestinal fortitude to actually slice one open that I discovered something really interesting. They have different coloured innards! Some are white. Some of them yellowy-beige. Some a pale, pale pink. And the black ones were black, inside and out.
